That is why after any flood damage in Lebanon from broken pipes, you need to get a hold of a professional restoration company as soon as possible. Our team at SERVPRO has the knowledge and experience you need to restore your home back to its pre-loss condition. They know all of the steps that need to be gone through to do the job correctly.

After arriving at your home, our technicians will first carefully inspect all aspects of the areas which were damage. They will then start to mitigate the loss. If the water is clean, they will follow this guide:

Securing the Structure – A supervisor will be informed of any dangerous situations such as falling ceilings, electrical hazards, and subfloors that are deteriorated.

Removing Standing Water – They will pump out any standing water if it is two or more inches deep using the correct pumps. They will also check walls and floors under the damaged area and crawl spaces for standing water. It will be pumped out as necessary.

Extracting Water – A moisture meter will then be used to figure out the extent of the water penetration in floors, carpets, ceilings and walls. Furniture will be blocked and moved as needed and water will be extracted from carpets and hard surface flooring. Carpeting will also be detached and water extracted from the floor and carpet pad. The pad will be removed from your home and in most cases need to be discarded.

Treating Surfaces -Our professionals at SERVPRO will then check the back of the carpet for damages like bad seams, delamination or visible mold. If it is damaged, they will determine if the damage was preexisting and a supervisor will be notified about any carpets damaged to the point which they shouldn’t be dried and reinstalled. The damaged carpet will be taken out of the structure as needed.

The back of the carpet if salvageable and the floor will be treated with the right antimicrobial or deodorizer. The carpeting will then be laid back on the floor and the water will be extracted from the surface fibers again. If needed, the right antimicrobial and deodorizer will be applied to the face fibers.
Furniture stains will be removed before the carpet dries.

Drying Equipment – The technicians will then position air moves to create fast airflow to wet surfaces. The amount of air movers needed will be determined based on IICRC recommendations. Humidifiers will be positioned to deliver warm, dry air in the area affected. The number and size of dehumidifiers will also be based on IICRC recommendations.
Surfaces will be cleaned and all debris removed when everything has been thoroughly cleaned and dried.
